The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ilorin (UCJ UNILORIN) has announced its magazine launch scheduled to be held on Wednesday, August 7 at the University Auditorium. This annual magazine launch is geared towards fulfilling its Press Week coming up from Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 9.
The event, themed POWER PLAY: POLICIES AND THE PRESS (Untangling Press Censorship in Nigeria), connects stakeholders in academia and civil societies as well as practitioners from different media houses, including BBC, Big Cabal Media, and TVC News. The guests aim to discuss the correlation of policies in the institution of the press in Nigeria and underscore prevalent press censorship practices among other industry trends in the country.
