Paris Saint-Germain will be without Neymar away at Angers in Ligue 1 on Saturday after coach Unai Emery confirmed the Brazil international is not in the squad for the final match before the international break.
Neymar, 25, sustained a knock to his left thigh during the 5-0 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League on Tuesday and despite being able to train since, the injury has ruled him out for Angers.
_Les Parisiens_’ No. 10 is not the only player who is unavailable to Emery, who is also unable to call on the services of Marquinhos, Angel Di Maria and Thiago Motta.
Marquinhos and Di Maria both have partners who have either given birth already or are about to give birth this week, respectively, while Motta is injured.
Speaking at his prematch news conference on Friday, Emery said that Neymar could have made the squad but he decided to take no risks with his travelling party.
