Jose Mourinho invited his Manchester United flops to conduct the post-match press conference after Ander Herrera admitted his teammates lacked desire during their defeat to Huddersfield.
United were condemned to their first defeat of the season by David Wagner’s newly promoted side with Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre scoring the goals which secured a famous 2-1 win.
Mourinho, however, opted not to single out the Sweden international for criticism and was rendered livid when he learned midfielder Herrera conceded the visitors had been outfought.
‘Herrera is in the interviews saying the attitude and desire was poor, my God. They should all go to the press conference,’ said Mourinho.
‘If I was a Manchester United fan I would be disappointed. You can lose games because the oppo has more quality than you but not lack of attitude. I don’t even remember a friendly match when our attitude was so poor.’
